2010 Gala Event

The Gala Event this year will be held at the historic Midland Theater, just two blocks from the conference hotel. The Midland Theater, designed by Thomas Lamb and built by Marcus Loew, first opened its doors in 1927 as a cinema and vaudeville show house. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The exterior of the theater utilized a Renaissance Revival style while the interior is decorated in a rich mix of French and Italian baroque. Gold leaf, crystal chandeliers, and a dramatic marble staircase give the space an elegant atmosphere.

NCHC is pleased to have Samantha Fish lined up for the evening entertainment. Samantha has been hailed as rising star on the blues scene and is preparing for her first national tour.
