The Newsletter Contest has two divisions: electronically published; print published. Within each division there are two categories: student published; faculty/administrator/student published. To be eligible for the contest, you must enter two consecutive newsletters published by your honors program or college within the 12-month period ending on June 30, 2015. Websites are not eligible for this contest.
For the electronically published division: complete the form below, at the end of which you can upload pdfs of and/or provide live hyperlinks to the newsletters you wish to enter, and click the submit tab. A copy of your submission (for your records) will automatically be emailed to you and, if different, to the address you provided for Program Director.
For the print division: complete the form below, disregarding the options to upload pdfs or provide hyperlinks, and click the submit tab. A copy of your submission (for your records) will automatically be emailed to you and, if different, to the address you provided for Program Director. Print this document and mail it – along with 5 copies of each of the two issues of your newsletter you wish to enter (a total of 10 newsletters) – to the NCHC office at 100 NRC, 540 N. 16th St, Lincoln, Nebraska 68588.
Entries for both divisions must accompany a completed submission form to be considered. If you (or your program director) have not received your copy of this form, try submitting it again. If a second attempt fails, contact Trish Souliere at firstname.lastname@example.org for help.
Please do not submit work under both divisions (electronic and print) unless you truly have two distinct enterprises.
A 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place award will be given in each category of each division except in cases where submissions are either too few in number or else deemed by the judges to be of insufficient quality.
Winning newsletters will be announced at the 2015 NCHC conference in Chicago. Winners in the "faculty/administrator/student" categories are ineligible for the contest the year immediately following their award. All newsletters in the "student published" categories may be re-submitted for the contest every year.
