On the Role of the Site Visitor as Consultants & Program Reviewers
Site visitors are colleagues who contribute their knowledge, based on relevant experience in honors. We gain as much as we provide in our roles as consultants, recognizing the mutual benefits for all. My career-long role in academic administration is particularly useful, I believe, in relating each visit to the perspectives not only of faculty and students, but also of the administrators who must support them. Extensive experience in assessment and program review and advice derived from it should be a key element in every site visitor’s role.
