Are you a new honors director or dean? Do you need some help figuring out what honors is about? If so, then this is the institute for you. The Professional Development Committee will be hosting an institute for new honors directors and deans at the University of Nebraska‐Lincoln this summer, June 28-30, 2013.Participants in this professional development faculty institute will take part in two full days of nuts‐and‐bolts sessions where they will be immersed in an honors experience that will prepare them to be successful in their new position as honors administrators.
During the institute, you will learn strategies for developing annual budgets and curricula and address staffing and administrative issues unique to your individual program. You will also have opportunities to engage in one‐on‐one sessions with experienced honors administrators and to work in small groups to develop
short– and long‐term strategies and goals.
This institute is designed specifically for new honors directors and deans interested in developing the nuts‐and‐bolts skills to be successful as new honors administrators.
